The facilities of the TARTERET Sawmill have contributed to its reputation.

The main saw called ‘head rig’, is equipped with a ‘double way cut’ band saw, allowing us to saw forward and return – following the back and forth trolley movement – which implies a better technicality in sharpening operations and increases productivity.

This saw has been specially inclined for a better grip of the logs on the trolley and to make handling easier.

Drying capacity is also an asset of our sawmill. Total covered area is nowadays around 42,000m2, which allows us to store and air dry our wood in optimal conditions.
